Vintage T.V. Pal plastic Uke
This is a vintage plastic ukulele from the 1950's. It was made famous by Arthur Godfrey playing a similar one on television. All of the kids had to have one, including myself. This is not just a toy uke. It was designed by Maccaferi to be a real instrument. It has the "zero fret" giving it true intonation. It is in great shape except for an indentation near the bridge. Probably the tension of the strings caused that over the years. The result is that the strings are nice and low making it very easy to play with no buzzing. There are also a few smudges on the back, but again nothing serious. I am also including an Islander Uke Chord Master with the ukulele. It is a device that fits on the neck allowing the user to play 6 basic ukulele chords by just pressing a button. It is not functioning at the moment, but I believe that I have included all of the parts except for the rubber bands that hold it onto the neck. I had it working when I first purchased this ukulele about 10 years ago. Perhaps you can get it working again. I am also including what is left of the original box and a song book for the Islander Uke. Both are in rough shape and have seen better days. Please contact me if you have questions. I am not interested in trades or shipping outside of the U.S. Thanks.
